If you have static on your vehicle's new aftermarket AM/FM radio while the engine is running and a clean signal when the engine is off then this pair of filters should solve your problem.

The antenna filter will block any static that is being radiated from your ignition wiring and coming in on your antenna lead. (The Antenna filter has standard male female plugs so it will plug directly into an aftermarket receiver)

The Power filter cleans up any electrical noise that is being fed to the radio on the incoming 12V supply.  Connect the blue lead to your receiver's switched 12V input, Connect the red lead to the switched 12V supply from the car's wiring harness and connect the black lead to a chassis ground.

NOTE: You may only need one of these items to solve your static situation but if you purchase the two together you have eliminated the guesswork.
