Mon, 24 Mar 2014Mike Ryan does amazing things with the Banks Freightliner. And with Pikes Peak still half a year away, Ryan settles for practice in the Long Beach docks in "Size Matters 2." He weaves the semi in and out of boxes, does donuts in the same tight radius as a matte-black 240SX (driven by stuntman Daniel Leavitt, who ironically shares his name with a reckless driving attorney in Virgina), and dodges even larger trucks. (No Dodges, though there's the Freightliner connection.) Who's Where: Sangyup Lee appointed Bentley’s head of exterior design
Fri, 03 May 2013Sangyup Lee has been appointed Bentley's head of exterior design. He reports directly to Luc Donkerwolke, head of Bentley Styling and Design and taken up the position left by Dave Hilton. Korean-born Lee joins the British carmaker from Volkswagen/Audi's Advanced studio in California, where he held the position of chief designer of Exterior from January 2010.
Mercedes-Benz reveals new S-class interior
Mon, 18 Mar 2013Mercedes-Benz has revealed the interior for its next-generation S-class in a series of darkly lit photographs aimed at emphasizing the car's ambience. While appearing similar to current models in a number of key areas, the cabin of the flagship Mercedes-Benz sedan has been redesigned in a bid to provide it with added levels of luxury, comfort, space and new multimedia functions. Key among developments is a new dashboard with horizontal architecture and ambient lighting to accentuate its width.
