NHTSA investigates Volkswagen Jetta diesel for fuel leak

The National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration opened a preliminary investigation on Aug. 2 into 40,000 copies of the 2011 Volkswagen Jetta TDI. NHTSA received seven complaints stemming from leaks between the fuel line and the fuel injectors.

The limited edition Exige, of which just 40 will be built, will come with the lower portion of the body painted in white, the upper part in yellow or blue, and with a gold stripe separating the two sections.
