Anschutz Kiel Gyrostar Gyrocompass Ship Gyro Compass 14 Standard on 2040-parts.com

Location:

Victoria, British Columbia, Canada

Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
X- Military Surplus - Sold AS IS
Brand:Anschutz Kiel Country/Region of Manufacture:Germany Manufacturer Part Number:not applicable

This auction is for part of an Anschutz Kiel Gyrocompass 14 Standard.

I purchased this gyrocompass a little over 10 years ago (it has been in storage since then) from our Government Surplus after it was removed from one of our Military Naval ships when the ship was decommissioned, other than that, I know nothing about it.

This large cylinder is marked Anschutz Kiel 110-106 No. 3201 and has the name "14 Standard" on the outside of it as well as a number of paper stickers on the inside which appear to have something to do with various times this unit may have been rebuilt.

The cylinder measures approximately 16 inches tall by 13 1/4 inches across and weighs approximately 10.58 Kg

This component appears to be in very good condition with no corrosion or damage that I can see, actually the unit is very clean and it maybe in good working order; however, I do not know how to use this and certainly have no way of testing it, so it is "Sold As Is" and all that is included in this auction is what you see in the photos, there is nothing else - if you don't see it - it is not included, if you have any questions please ask before bidding and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

This lot will require a very large box, so shipping costs outside of North America would be considerable - please request a shipping quote BEFORE BIDDING due to the costs and as there are countries I will not ship to.

Please note: Before shipping I will try to cushion the inside suspended unit to protect it during transit.

I have more pieces to this system currently listed; however, due the size, shape of these other items, I will not be able to offer combined shipping.

Please see my  other items!

GENERAL AUCTION LISTING TERMS & CONDITIONS:

PLEASE NOTE:  None of us like paying shipping costs; unfortunately it is a necessary evil in the world of internet sales and with the latest surcharges due to the increase in OIL prices and new labour settlements, the costs for shipping are up considerably from even 1 YEAR ago, but please note, we DO NOT make any money on shipping - we only charge for CANADA POST SHIPPING RATES plus the cost of packing materials (peanuts, bubblewrap and box) – with NO HANDLING CHARGE - For all buyers outside of Canada PLEASE KEEP IN MIND that this will be INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING which is MORE EXPENSIVE than your domestic shipping and due to possible CUSTOMS Clearance Delays and the extra DISTANCE for the parcel to Travel - the Delivery will normally take LONGER THAN FOR DOMESTIC SHIPPING - for shipping costs please see the shipping quote as shown in the listing.

Canadian residents must pay GST / HST sales tax – BC buyers must also pay PST - all other buyers are exempt these taxes. Although recommended, quotes for shipping will not include insurance unless requested.

Seller will not be responsible for uninsured items.

I will combine shipping & insurance on more than one item if safe packing will allow for it. Payment must be made within one week from end of auction.

We try to identify the maker, composition and age of the items we sell; however, we are by no means experts in any field and this information is based solely on our general knowledge & opinions & bidders will have the final responsibility in determining the same - so PLEASE email BEFORE you bid if you need clarification on any items.

Any local customs or duty costs are the responsibility of the buyer.

Please keep in mind that you are bidding on used and vintage items. We will disclose any damage or defect that is not consistent with what should be expected with normal wear, and will always disclose any chips, breaks, repairs, etc. that we believe affect the usability and value of the piece over and above normal wear for the age of the item; however, we are human and as such can make mistakes - if we have made a mistake, please contact us and we will work with you to fix the problem

Items are shipped from a smoke-free home.

Please see above for acceptable payment methods.

Thank You & Good Luck!

Suzuki Vitara is back! New small SUV bound for Paris show 2014

Wed, 27 Aug 2014

By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 27 August 2014 17:21 The Suzuki Vitara is coming of age - and this first official picture suggests the populist SUV is growing up to become a slicker, more mainstream 4x4. It’s certainly a far cry from the 1980s Vitara which became synonymous with a certain strata of society (see second picture in our gallery). Due to be shown at the 2014 Paris motor show, the new Suzuki Vitara is a mid-sized crossover aimed at on-road driving rather than fording your local stream en route to the gymkhana.

Interior Motives Design Awards 2010

Fri, 01 Oct 2010

As the doors closed to the press at the Mondial de L'Automobile in Paris, the world's top designers and automotive journalists gathered at the nearby Palais des Congrès d'Issy to watch a new generation of designers celebrate success at the 2010 Interior Motives Design Awards. Never before has the automotive industry been in greater need of fresh perspectives and innovation, and the students gathered here tonight provided both in spades - perhaps none more so than Kosin Voravattayagon of Sweden's Umeå Institute of Design, who walked away from the event with the Interior Motives Student Designer of the Year 2010 title and prize money totalling $5,000. Themed ‘Driving the Interior Revolution', this year's contest attracted entries from an incredibly diverse range of schools and nationalities - from Israel and Iran, to Slovakia and South America.
