In fact the very same Mazda2 nose was already running off the production lines in Thailand in October 2009, so it seems most peculiar that the facelifted cars are only just starting to arrive in UK showrooms. Tue, 29 Jun 2010Lotus seem to be pursuing Bob Lutz The Lotus five year plan calls for the track day cars to make way for much more substantial and upmarket cars to become the force at Lotus; a move to become the Aston Martin East Anglia. Probably the first obvious move in this plan was to grab Dany Bahar from Ferrari last year (and Ferrari designer Donato Coco) and now Lotus are casting their net again to snare some big names to drive them forward. Top of the list is almost-octogenarian Bob Lutz who retired from GM – but certainly not from business – last year.
Aston Martin Zagato (2011) anniversary concept
Wed, 11 May 2011Aston Martin is teaming up with Italian design house Zagato again to mark the 50th anniversary of the DB4 GT Zagato with a new Zagato-bodied V12 Vantage. Only this solitary teaser image has been published so far, revealing the shape of the new 2011 Aston Martin V12 Vantage Zagato - which is likely to make production. The car will be shown at the Villa D’Este concours in Italy on 21 May 2011 – and Aston Martin promises this starts a new working relationship with Zagato, suggesting further models will be forthcoming.
