'Adam Seeks Eve' sketching competition winner announced

The top three designs of the ‘Adam Seeks Eve‘ international sketching competition have been announced. A judging panel of six professional designers and organizer representatives – chaired by exterior chief designer of the Opel Adam Niels Loeb – selected the top three designs from over 400 submitted projects. 23-year-old Marcell Sebestyén from Hungary claimed top honors with his design, while second place went to 36-year-old Lukáš Taneček from the Czech Republic.

We really liked the Toyota FT-1, which caught us off guard in the best possible way when it emerged at the Detroit auto show. In fact, we liked Toyota's “spiritual pace car” enough to call it the most fun new thing on the floor -- and we're hoping the automaker's execs take notice. American Suzuki to pull out of U.S. auto market, file Chapter 11 bankruptcy

American Suzuki Motor Corp., beset by low sales, cutthroat competition and unfavorable foreign exchange rates, said it will pull out of the U.S. auto market and file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. The company, in a statement today, said it will continue its motorcycle and marine engine business units and will continue to honor customer warranties.
