Mitsubishi Scrappage – now on 5 year old cars
Wed, 27 May 2009Mitsubishi are now offering the Scrappage allowance on cars from 5 years old [ad#ad-1] Despite our reservations about the Scrappage scheme in the UK, it would seem that it is proving to be a good handle to hang sales publicity on for car makers. New Vauxhall VXR8 GTS gets 576bhp & costs £54,999
Wed, 29 May 2013The new Vauxhall VXR8 GTS gets 576bhp If you’re going to make your most potent saloon car more powerful, you could just tweak the engine management a bit to add a few more horses. But Vauxhall have gone a bit further with the latest VXR8 GTS – it gets a 6.2 litre V8 from the Camaro ZL1, a whole 150bhp and 140lb/ft of torque than the old VXR8. Vauxhall has based the GTS on Holden’s new GEN-F GTS – Australia’s maddest production Holden – and the increase in power comes courtesy of a supercharger, new exhaust system.

It’s not all that unusual for a picture revealed by a car maker to have a hidden Easter Egg; something that’s only there if you look hard. And the guys over at Audi News Blog think they may have found a hidden gem in a photo Audi has released of Wolfgang Egger – the new 2013 Audi TT lurking in the background.
