Bugatti Grand Sport Venet edition (2012): a 253mph art car

This is the latest one-off Bugatti Veyron supercar: the Bernar Venet editon. Partly inspired by the 1970s BMW art cars of Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, French artist Bernar Venet's creation pays tribute to the eggheads responsible for the Veyron's conception, by covering the front panels in mathematical equations relating to the output of the car's enormous engine. Spyker slaps GM with $3 billion lawsuit

Spyker, the Dutch supercar firm and owner of Saab, hit General Motors with a $3 billion lawsuit Monday, claiming GM forced Saab into bankruptcy and interfered with a potential deal with Chinese investors that could have saved the company. Spyker is suing on behalf of Saab, assuming legal costs in exchange for a significant proportion of any potential award. Saab went into bankruptcy in December 2011.

Peugeot are producing a limited run of 29 special 208 GTi models to kick off sales of the new GTi – price £20,495. It’s hard to believe, but this week’s Paris Motor Show is actually the public debut of the production version of the new Peugeot 208GTi, following the actual 208 GTi reveal earlier this month Based on the 208 GTi Concept we saw at Geneva in the spring, the 2013 GTi is a car Peugeot hopes will cast a performance glow across the rest of the 208 range, just as the 205 GTi did in years gone by. To kick off sales of the new 208 GTi, Peugeot has revealed a Limited Edition version – catchily branded the 208 GTi Limited Edition – which will be available to buyers ahead of the first regular GTis.
