  • BRAND NEW IN PACKAGE!! Replace your ugly factory (31 inch) metal shaft antenna with The Shorty® Brand (9" inch) antenna. This stylish yet functional LOW PROFILE (9" inch) antenna that will not hit the GARAGE DOOR anymore!!! Made out of 1/4 inch STAINLESS STEEL and is POWDERCOATED BLACK. If you are unsure that it fits, try unscrewing the existing antenna mast off. If it twists right off, then this antenna WILL FIT since it COMES WITH VEHICLE SPECIFIC ADAPTERS (no two antennas are the same fit).

  • How to put it on--Installation is very simple. The Shorty® Brand (9" inch) antenna is a PLUG-N-PLAY antenna, which means it screws onto your existing antenna mount (a direct bolt-on part, no wiring involved) and takes a minute to do. And the way your car looks after The Shorty® Brand (9" inch) antenna is installed is incredible! This antenna replaces your stock AM/FM radio antenna and does not affect On-Star, Bluetooth, GPS Navigation, or Sirius XM radio as those Satellite services use a separate antenna in your vehicle.

  • How is the Reception--4 out of 5 reception with most people noticing no difference at all. As a general rule, strong stations will be fine and weak stations will be reduced. For 5 out of 5 reception, see our 12" and taller Antennas.

  • Is it worth it--The Shorty® Brand (9" inch) antenna is a compact high quality 1/4 inch STAINLESS STEEL antenna (BLACK powder coated mast) cleans up the appearance of the FRONT or REAR of your car and is an extremely durable upgrade from any stock antenna. A great improvement for little money and effort!  Please see our ebay store for more ANTENNA styles and sizes. Available in 6 / 9 / 12 / 15 and 21 inches.

Alfa Romeo 8C, Maserati Quattroporte and GranTurismo recalled

Mon, 20 May 2013

Owners of 2005-2008 Maserati Quattroportes, 2008 GranTurismos, and the 2008 Alfa Romeo 8C should expect to hear from dealers soon as the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration issued a recall this past week. The recall is for tie-rod ends that have insufficient corrosion protection, which then leads to rust and weakening of the units. This unit could fail completely, causing the driver of the vehicle to lose control.

New VW Beetle gets new engines

Thu, 26 Jul 2012

Volkswagen has finally made the new VW Beetle available with the 2.0 litre TSI petrol and 2.0 litre turbodiesel engines. When we reported the other day that the new VW Beetle Convertible was arriving at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November we did say that VW were about to announce the arrival, finally, of the 2.0 litre TSI petrol and 2.0 litre TDI diesel for the Beetle to make it a bit more appealing. It seems VW must have been listening as they’ve now announced that you can grab a new Beetle with either the more powerful petrol or the diesel engine, which should help sales of the new Beetle.

Driven: BMW Z4

Mon, 01 Jun 2009

Loved as it may be by its loyal fanbase, the outgoing Z4 was always something of a mixed bag in terms of design. While the car's classic long-bonnet, cab-back profile and short overhangs should have pleased the eye, the BMW's sheer frontal mass made its proportions seem out of balance. The application of the company's then-new ‘flame surfacing' form language also generated a visual business that seemed out of place on something as conceptually simple as a roadster.
