Up for auction is an antique 1920-30s NOS Car-Nu Glare Shield with metal bracket that would clip on rear view mirror. The shield comes in the original envelope with instructions. Believe the shield was made by Fulton Co. Milwaukee but there are no markings only Car-Nu Glare Shield. The shield measures 6” long x 2 ½” tall. When clamped on mirror the shield could be flipped up for daytime and down for nighttime. A great addition to your antique car collection. Would look great on your antique car at a show. It’s a handsome car, with more than a little 1990s BMW 5-Series in it – from the way the bonnet meets the headlight glass, to the famous ‘Hofmeister Kink’ in the C pillar. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

It may be leaden with PR-talk but this short presentation by Yasushi Nakamuta, Mazda's director of advanced design studio at the press unveiling of the new Mazda 3 in Melbourne is still worth a couple of minutes of your time. But while the 3 is undeniably attractive we can't help but feel that the 'unique' design process Nakamuta describes (which appears wholly conventional to us) has resulted in little more than a thoroughly normal product.
