 ANTIQUE  AIRGUIDE DASH THERMOMETER GAUGE

This antique thermometer gauge is in good condition with a little aged patina. It measures 4 inches tall and 3 1/4 inches across. Has a beautiful art deco design gauge face and numbers. There is a strong magnets on the bottom to stick to your dashboard or any metal surface. It has a clear glass gauge face with no chips or scratches. It has a chrome finish with a vintage patina in all the right places. It works great and seems to read fairly accurate but I can't guarantee its accuracy due to it being an antique. This is a nice antique thermometer for your dash. Look at the pictures for the condition for the condition as they are part of the description. Second picture is for an example. No surprises when you get your package. You will not be disappointed with your purchase.

Whos Where: Pierre Castinel is Head of Design at Tata

Wed, 02 Apr 2008

Indian automaker Tata has been front page news often in recent times, first because of the impressive one-lakh Nano, which changes the automotive industry playing field, and most recently because of its acquisition of Jaguar and Land Rover from Ford's Premiere Automotive Group for the tidy sum of $2.3 billion - less than half what Ford paid for both companies in 1989.  At the helm of Tata's design efforts is Pierre Castinel, Head of Design. Though only officially announced in March this year, Castinel has been active at Tata since he left Renault in summer 2007, a company he worked at for 20 years. Castinel started as a modeler for Peugeot and worked there for three years.

AutoWeek office swag: Mazda rotary-engine keychain with realistic motion

Fri, 20 May 2011

When I got the keys to our long-term 2011 Mazda 5 last week, they came with a surprise--this aluminum-and-brass keychain in the shape of a rotary-engine housing, complete with moving rotor. The rotor doesn't just rattle around or spin in a circle. Thanks to a thumbwheel on the back of the housing, coupled with a timing gear and offset crank journal, the thing actually moves in an approximation of epitrochoidal motion just like a real Wankel.

New SEAT Leon SC: Price from £15,370

Tue, 02 Apr 2013

The new SEAT Leon SC (3-door), which debuted at the Geneva Motor Show last month, will cost from £15,370 for the S 1.2TSI. Not only is the Leon SC cheaper than the Hatch, SEAT has gone to some trouble to differentiate the two with the SC getting a lower roofline, more steeply raked windscreen and new tailgate, as well as being 35mm shorter. Despite which the Leon SC still has decent leg and head room in the back and a boot that’s as big as the Leon hatch.
