LIQUIDATING MY 30 YEAR COLLECTION OF ANTIQUE TOOLS & TOOL CATALOGSThis is Cornwell Quality Tools (Mogadore OH) catalog 28, dated 1952. All the general automotive tools of the day with special tools for Chevy, Ford, Chrysler and a few others. Nicely illustrated/photographed catalog with 127 pages in part color, 8 1/2" x 11" full size format. This catalog is in fair to good condition, lightly soiled page edges & covers, cover scuffs and binding edge tears but intact, interior mostly clean and complete, binding tight and overall reasonable condition considering the age of this catalog. Cornwell was a direct competitor to all the major tooling manufacturers such as Bonney, Herbrand, Mac, OTC, Snap-On and others. Through the years they have remained a strong competitor producing a quality product and still exist as a going-concern nearing their 100 year anniversary. Their fine old tools have survived the years and can still be found in the tool boxes of professional mechanics, at swap meets, eBay and estate sales.Email with questions, I ship internationally. |

Smithsonian lets you vote on cars for exhibit
Wed, 22 Dec 2010For the next few weeks, you can have a say in which vehicles from the Smithsonian car collection go on display this winter in Washington, D.C. For what is said to be the first time ever, the public can vote for one of eight featured vehicles, with the top two vote-getters going on display at the National Museum of American History from Jan. 22 through Feb.
Goodwood 2011 FoS and Revival dates announced

The Festival of Speed will take place from 1-3 July, and the Revival will follow on 16-18 September 2011. The theme is 'racing revolutions – quantum leaps that shaped motor sport’, and some of the celebrated breakthroughs will includes 30 years since four-wheel drive started to dominate rallying, 25 years since turbocharged engines ruled in F1, and two decades since Mazda’s rotary-engined 787B took the chequered flag at Le Mans.
