Up for auction are 4 boxes of unused antique car 6 volt Maloney battery guards with original boxes. There are 3 plastic battery guards in each box along with 1 extra rubber fill top: • Box with green circle – 7/8” single lead – green thread used on Old Willard, Chevrolet Delco, Oldsmobile Delco, Cadillac Delco, Pontiac Delco, Buick Delco. • Box with red circle – 1 ¼” Double Lead – Red Thread used on Cities Service Ford, Bowers, Norwalk, NE, Pure, Mercury, Sunoco, National Savannah, Wizard, All State, Dunlop, Globe, General, Thor, Diamond. • Box with clear circle - 1 ¼” Single Lead – Clear Thread – Gulf, Goodrich, Sears Roebuck, Montgomery Ward, Western Auto • Box with amber circle – 1 1/8” Double Lead – Firestone, Kelly, Atlas There is a paper included with each set – on the back directions for using the battery guards. RCA students open Clerkenwell Week Design with Jaguar-inspired artwork

Two Royal College of Art students have designed a Jaguar-inspired sculpture to celebrate the opening of Clerkenwell Design Week in London. Ewan Gallimore and Claire Miller developed their idea alongside Jaguar's Advanced Design team in Whitley, Coventry, by using technologies applied in the creation of Jaguar production and concept cars. The two were the successful team from a selection of nine groups who submitted entries after Jaguar's challenge to the RCA's Vehicle Design and Textile Design departments.

Koenigsegg are in the running to take over Saab Saab were given Swedish Government protection recently (similar to Chapter 11) to try and find a suitor or funding to operate independently. Of course they can’t do that completely, at least not in the short term, as they are so tied in to GM’s platforms on their current and soon to be released cars. But Saab has a strong – if quirky – history and, with the right backing, could stand alone as a niche maker of aesthetically individual cars.

Two top Ford Motor Co. executives, CFO Lewis Booth and global product development chief Derrick Kuzak-- both key architects of the automaker's recovery--will retire on April 1, the automaker said Thursday. Booth, 63, will be succeeded by Bob Shanks, Ford's vice president and controller.
