MARKED IMPRESSED ON THE BAR: FOMOCO

ON THE OTHER SIDE: 80-17035-B

MEASURES: 13 3/8" LONG X 1" DIAMETER AT THE CENTER BAR

EACH END HAS A 3/4" HOLE JUST BEFORE THE WRENCH END

ONE END HAS A 7/8" DRIVE SQUARE SOCKET END

THE OTHER END HAS A 1 1/2" HEXAGON SOCKET END

Bob Lutz is not a man who can be contained within 140 characters. This past weekend he spoke at the Petersen as part of the Inside the MotoMan Studio series, hosted by friend of Autoweek George Notaras (past events have been with Ralph Gilles and Derek Jenkins). Lutz talked at length about his childhood in Switzerland, early memories working for Ford and Chrysler, the time he swayed BMW management away from building Mercedes-like luxoboats, and what Lee Iacocca was really like behind closed doors.

MG6 gets 4 stars in Euro NCAP tests Just a year ago Geely was making all the wrong headlines when the Geely CK1 scored zero in the Latin NCAP tests. But now, just a year later, the Geely Emgrand EC7 and the MG6 – both made in China – have scored four starts in the last set of Euro NCAP tests for 2011. Apart from being a great result for China, it’s proof – if proof were ever needed – that the Chinese car industry is certainly a force to be reckoned with.
