This time it's parent brand VW, who have released details on its Golf R Cabriolet concept. We thought it may be a road-going version of the Gallardo Super Trofeo and so it is, with the Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale leaking out on the eve of the Frankfurt show. The Super Trofeo Stradale is Lamborghini’s fulfilment of a promise to deliver a new car to every major motor show, but there’s nothing really new about the Gallardo LP570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale – it’s really just another lightweight, ‘Limited Edition’ Gallardo.
Saab China – Deal Dead

Saab has announced that the deal for Chinese companies Youngman and Pang Da to take a €245 million stake in Saab has been terminated. Saab say that they have terminated the agreement because Pang Da and Youngman have failed to confirm their commitment to the Subscription Agreement on the agreed terms, and the money the Chinese (according to Saab) were to pay by this weekend has not been received.
