2013 Ford Fusion gets stop/start as $295 option
Mon, 16 Jul 2012Ford Motor Co. is bringing its Auto-Start-Stop system to the United States, the first time it has offered the system in this country in a nonhybrid application. The $295 option will be offered only on 2013 Ford Fusions powered by a 1.6-liter, four-cylinder EcoBoost engine, which Ford predicts will be the top-selling Fusion engine.

We got the public reveal of the McLaren P1 – the spiritual successor to the iconic McLaren F1 – at the Paris Motor Show in September, and the McLaren boys told us the car was 95 per cent of how the final P1 would look. Ford Energi drivers use all-electric mode 60 percent of the time

It appears that Ford owners are driving their hybrids in electric mode nearly 60 percent of the time, using their cars' 21 miles of gas-free all-electric range. This figure contrasts quite a bit with the 41 percent of all-electric drive time earlier in the year, demonstrating that winter driving patterns differ quite a bit from summer driving.
