Acura promotes movie role with secret-agent kit

Rarely do the lengths to which a carmaker will go in promoting a product raise eyebrows here at AutoWeek, but it still happens from time to time. Case in point: Acura sent us a kit of secret-agent tests showcasing the role of its cars in the movie Thor. 2013 EyesOn Design Automotive Exhibition poster unveiled

The commemorative poster and program cover for the 2013 EyesOn Design Automotive Design Exhibition has been unveiled at the Automotive Hall of Fame in Dearborn, Michigan. Renowned automotive artist Steven Macy designed this year's edition and he was joined at the unveiling by Ford's former global vice president of Design Jack Telnack, John Tucker (grandson of American automobile designer and entrepreneur Preston Tucker) and Dr. Phillip Hessberg.

Drivers walk to avoid parking fees

DRIVERS are voting with their feet over parking charges, with most prepared to walk so they do not have to pay. On average, drivers are willing to walk up to half a mile to dodge parking charges, a survey from market research company Viewsbank found. A fifth of motorists were prepared to walk a mile or more rather than pay up, with only 11% saying they would rather pay than walk, the poll of 2,053 drivers revealed.
