PLEASE SEE MY OTHER EBAY STORE LISTING IF YOU NEED A TENSIONER FOR A GEN 1 1999 - 2007 BUSA !!

THIS TENSIONER IS BLACK ANODIZED IN COLOR

APE manual cam chain tensioners are designed to replace the automatic and hydraulic tensioners found on most of todays engines.

The automatic tensioners can back out when the throttle is closed suddenly at high rpm. This allows the cams to go momentarily out of time, which can result in bent valves and even more severe engine damage.

Hydraulic tensioners also have a tendency to put too much tension on the chain guide under high rpm, high oil pressure conditions, resulting in premature chain guide wear.

Both problems can be eliminated with the installation of an APE manual tensioner. No matter what the engine does, the cam chain tension will remain constant.

NOTE: The stock tensioner has an oil line going to it. When using this APE Tensioner that line is discarded. You just need to find a bolt of the same thread pitch to "cap off" where the line originally connected, being sure to use copper or aluminum sealing washers to prevent leaks.

An APE manual cam chain tensioner is a must for any kind of performance riding !!

APE manual tensioners are CNC machined from billet alloy to exact tolerances for perfect fit every time.

NO MATTER WHO BUILDS YOUR ENGINE, INSIST THAT THEY USE AN APE MANUAL CAM CHAIN TENSIONER !!

It seems the Range Rover Evoque Convertible is going in to production after all

Thu, 18 Jul 2013

It seems the Range Rover Evoque Convertible (pictured) is actually going in to production We weren’t very complimentary about the Range Rover Evoque Convertible when it was revealed in concept form at the Geneva Motor Show last year. And we were relieved when we heard just a few months ago that Land Rover weren’t going to push ahead with production of the Evoque Convertible after all. But it seems that report was incorrect, as What Car are reporting that Land Rover has actually approved the Evoque Convertible for production.

ESP could save 380 lives a year

Tue, 19 Jun 2007

By Ben Shacham Motor Industry 19 June 2007 12:24 The campaign to make electronic stability control (ESC) standard on all new cars by 2012 is gathering momentum - and it could save 380 lives a year, say ministers. The UK's Department for Transport today claimed that hundreds of lives could be saved every year if all new cars had stability control fitted - totalling 4000 lives across Europe. A campaign to raise awareness of the potential benefits of ESC was launched last month in Rome by European commissioners and FIA president Max Mosley.
