 The Apex Universal muffler series is the perfect choice for those who want to fabricate a unique b one-offb exhaust either for a race car or a custom street car. Now, the racing heritage and performance power of Apex can be felt on practically any vehicle. With turbo and non-turbo applications, the universal Series provides a cost effective and versatile choice for exhaust system development. All Mufflers are constructed of polished SUS304 stainless steel. Welding is required for installation. Brackets and hangers are not included. Horsepower gains will vary according to vehicle and exhaust piping configuration. Use of a resonator is recommended for street car applications (not included). Tue, 04 Mar 2014The Alfa Romeo 4C Spider (pictured) revealed in Geneva The Alfa Romeo 4C is the epitome of a modern ‘supercar’, with ultra light weight (for a production car) allowing the 4C to produce very good performance from its modest 17500cc engine. So producing an Spider convertible immediately raises the weight issue in a more dramatic way when the car’s abilities are so dependent on it low weight, but it seems the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider – previewed as a production car with a concept at Geneva today – has managed to keep the wight penalties of the convertible 4C down to a minimum. Thanks to a canvas roof and carbon fibre rollover bars, the weight penalty for the Spider is only about 60kg (around a 7 per cent gain) which shouldn’t hurt performance too much.

Dodge Viper operations draw limited interest
Thu, 28 May 2009Chrysler LLC's Viper sports car business has drawn only limited interest from buyers, according to court statements filed in connection with the automaker's bankruptcy hearing. Chrysler recently offered to sell the entire Conner Avenue plant in Detroit, which builds the Dodge Viper sports car, for $10 million, Chrysler Chairman Bob Nardelli said in a statement. "We received no purchaser interest," he said.
