This is a system from Avionik.de/en/ that is used with an Aspen EFD or Garmin G500/G600 for altitude preselect functionality.

Please refer to the AVSR section of their website for data sheets and installation details.

I changed autopilots in my aircraft to one that has integral preselect, so this is no longer useful to me. It was bought new and installed in 2014, and has been used for approximately 160 hours total. See attached logbook entries for the time of installation and the total time as of the airplane's most recent inspection in 2016.

Per the manufacturer, compatibility is with the following autopilots:

ARC (Cessna) 400B
ARC (Cessna) 800B
ARC (Cessna) 1000
Century 4
Century 41
Century 2000
Collins AP106
Bendix King KFC 200
Bendix King KFC 250
Bendix King KFC 300
M4D
S-TEC System 30
S-TEC System 50
S-TEC System 55
S-TEC System 55X
S-TEC System 60
S-TEC System 65

How the system works:

The box interfaces between the PFD/EFD and the autopilot via an arm/disarm circuit. The pilot uses the autopilot's integral vertical speed control or pitch control to initiate a climb or descent. When the altitude that the PFD/EFD bug is set to is reached, this system automatically changes the autopilot to ALT hold mode from VS or PITCH mode. The result is a very simple and user-friendly altitude control system integral to the aircraft's electronic flight display, without the typically required expensive encoding altimeter (as you have with KFC autopilots) or separate baro programming unit (as you have with the STEC55) to fiddle with. Preselect for this system is on your glass panel, where it should be.

PLEASE NOTE: Certification for this system falls under the Aspen and Garmin glass panel STCs! A compatible altimeter with a bug and annunciation (as you have on an Aspen EFD1000 or G500/600) is REQUIRED in addition to a compatible autopilot!  This is a 28v system! Due to a required connection to the panel lighting bus for the switch/annunciator, it will not work in a 14v aircraft!

The retail price of this unit, per Aspen's price list, is $1495 for the box, and the pictured switch is required to be purchased separately for $500 from Dallas Avionics, bringing the total new-installation cost to $2000. This auction includes both the box and the switch, as pictured, along with the connectors. The flight manual supplement will be included in PDF format.

PLEASE ENSURE COMPATIBILITY.  Returns will be accepted in case of shipping damage only.
