Offered here is a very nice NAUTICAL BOAT COMPASS, AQUA METER, MANUFACTURED IN ROSELAND, NJ.  This very well made boat compass has a metal base that mounts the floating compass on a flat surface.  The compass has a half-dome shield to protect the clear cover .  The dome flips over to the opposite side, should you need to see that half of the compass.  The compass base measures 6 inches wide and it has mounting holes for attachment to the console.  The compass moves freely and it appears to be very accurate.  The compass is used, but in very nice condition.  It has an old "boat name" on a sticker attached to the compass...easily removed.  This vintage compass is ready for use or to display in your nautical collection.  See photos for additional details.

The Guinness Book of World Records has the longest drift set at an amazing 19,035 feet, or about 3.5 miles. It was set in China in 2011. On May 11 Johan Schwartz, BMW Performance Driving instructor working in Greer, S.C., aims to bring the record back to the United States.

Toyota leaves F1

Toyota are quitting F1 It’s not exactly a huge surprise, but Toyota has announced today that they are leaving Formula One and will not be back in 2010 to take their place. With theĀ announcementĀ that Bridgestone are also quitting F1 after 2010, and the departure of Honda before the 2009 season started, there is going to be no Japanese involvement in F1. Which is rather sad for a nation that loves its cars.

CDN-GM Interactive Design Contest 2012 finalists announced

The CDN-GM Interactive Design Competition judges have announced the winners of the competition's first phase ahead of the launch of the second phase. This year saw another batch of high-quality entries from all over North America and the judges were understandably hard-pressed to pick out just a handful in each of the four brand categories. The judges gathered at GM's Design Center at the automaker's headquarters in Warren, Michigan, where they whittled down the shortlist.
