 Remove 9 1/2 pounds of unneeded weight from your F8 with the addition of this lightweight silencer from SLP. It is finished with ceramic coating, and incorporates our ERA 2007 Silencing Technology for a rich, full sound.  Finished with ceramic coating.  SLP tested and passed SAE J-2567 stationary sound test below 88 decibels.

NO ECU Modification is required.

This silencer is compatible with SLP Single Pipe and Y-Pipe, which allows them to be added at a later date.

Mercedes plans electric version of SLS AMG supercar

Huge news at Mercedes-Benz: Engineers from its AMG performance-car offshoot are developing a plug-in electric version of the upcoming SLS supercar as part of a broad-based efficiency program to place the automaker at the leading edge of socially acceptable performance-car motoring. Tentatively planned for production in 2015, the new zero-emission supercar draws heavily on the production version of the yet-to-be-fully-revealed SLS scheduled to get its first public outing at the Frankfurt motor show on Sept. 15.

Toyota tests chips that improve hybrid efficiency by 10 percent

Toyota announced on Tuesday that it has developed a new semiconductor, claiming it can boost fuel efficiency in hybrid cars by an impressive 10 percent. The semiconductors manage the flow of electricity through the power-control unit that connects the battery to an electric or hybrid car's motor and generator. The newly developed semiconductors are said to consume only a tenth of the energy of today's chips, while allowing the power-control unit to be 80 percent smaller.
