Toyota goes on offensive, seeks 100 percent owner response to recall notice

Toyota Motor Corp., spurred by criticism that previous recalls failed to prompt enough owners to seek fixes, hopes to distribute mailings this week to the 2.3 million owners targeted in a January recall. Toyota says it will be vigilant in reaching each of the affected customers and hopes to have all repairs done within 90 days. Win an internship in VW's design contest

Volkswagen is offering students a chance to design a video game car for a contest. Three winners get a six-month internship at the VW design department in Wolfsburg, Germany. Students working in fields of interior and exterior design, interface design, graphic design and color and trim design can submit concepts.

2014 Ram 1500, 1500 EcoDiesel tow ratings announced

Chrysler has announced the gasoline-powered 2014 Ram 1500 and 2014 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel tow ratings. The 305-hp Pentastar V6 can handle up to 7,450 lbs. Ram calls this performance “class-leading,” but there's a catch: If the consumer compares the base-level versions of the Ford F-150, GMC Sierra 1500 the Ram 1500 then it is true that the Ram 1500 edges out the competition.
