Flavio Manzoni to Head Ferrari Design
Tue, 29 Sep 2009Flavio Manzoni, Head of Creative Design at the Volkswagen Group, is set to take on a new role as Chief of Design at Ferrari starting January 1, 2010. Manzoni, currently part of the design team headed up by Walter de'Silva, will be based at Centro Stile Ferrari and charged with creating a new brand identity for the Italian marque. He will report directly to Managing Director Amedeo Felisa.
Rolls-Royce 102EX concept car (2011) first pictures
Sun, 20 Feb 2011Rolls-Royce has confirmed it will show its first electric car at the 2011 Geneva motor show. The 102EX is the latest in a line of concept cars – EX stands for experimental – which history suggests should go on to influence production cars. The Rolls-Royce 102EX is known internally as the Phantom Experimental Electric and is being used to judge reaction to a battery-powered Roller among owners clubs and media.
Dutch factory announced for new Mini
Tue, 18 Feb 2014THE NEW Mini is to be built in Holland as well as the UK, owner BMW has announced. The German motor giant said production of the Mini Hatch will be split between its factory in Oxford and a site in Nedcar in Born. Around 1,500 workers will build the new Mini in Holland from this summer at a factory run by BMW's Dutch partner VDL Nedcar.
