Top Gear Tonight: Ferrari F12, BAC Mono, Ron Howard & the world’s best taxi

Jeremy drives the BAC Mono (pictured) in tonight’s Top Gear Tonight’s second episode of series 20 of Top Gear gets back to the usual format. -- NASCAR driver Casey Mears reunites with a 1932 Ford that he remembers from his childhood and high school years in Bakersfield. His father Roger bought it in 1982 but sold it in the mid-'90s; six years ago, Casey was able to bring it back into the Mears fold. His daughter is 5, the same age Mears was when he was able to reach the pedals.

Concept Car of the Week: Mercury El Gato (1970)

Of all the brands that marked American automobile history, Mercury had never been the most popular or the most loved, which ultimately led to its demise in 2011 when Ford chose to terminate the brand. To be fair only a handful of Mercury models are worth remembering: the 1950 Mercury Eight iconic base for custom cars, the 1955 Montclair, the Mustang-based Cougar, the Marauder X-100, the evil Cyclone Spoiler. However one of their coolest creations is fairly unknown mostly due its short concept car life: El Gato, in Spanish translating as "The Cat".
