Like its two-seat stablemate, the 16C Galibier aims to be the ultimate: the fastest, most powerful, most elegant and expensive car in the world. Officially it’s a concept car, but Bugatti has started showing the Galibier to customers; if sufficient open up their Swiss accounts, expect the green light in spring 2010 with sales beginning within three years.

And it might not be the sort of Lotus Exige you were expecting: this new S model now runs the supercharged 3.5-litre V6 from the Evora S, meaning it not only boasts 35% more power than before, but it is also 191kg heavier. Lotus Exige S: the spec Lotus’s long-held mantra has been ‘add lightness’, but Bahar’s future plans call for models to rival the 458, the California and the Rapide, essentially bigger cars with bigger engines.
Senate considers more funds for cash-for-clunkers program

A plan to add $2 billion to the fund passed the House and is being considered by the Senate, where is appears to have support, Reuters reports. The initial $1 billion clunkers outlay is nearly exhausted.
