:

This a USED / MODIFIED - STEEL primary from an single ARIEL MOTORCYCLE
I removed it from a 1952 ARIEL NH350c.c. RED HUNTER I restored because it was incorrect for the year

Ariel changed from an aluminum primary to steel during WW II
I believe (not sure) it may fit a W/NG or other Ariel singles  ??

IT NEEDS WORK !!
 - Somebody modified it by welding a cylinder on the front to accept a crankshaft mounted alternator.
The alternator is in very bad shape (junk) and appears to be home made ?

I would imagine if you purchased this for your Ariel you would cut the modified front cylinder off and weld in a curved piece of metal to make it look original again.

This is going to need a skilled person with time and patience to repair and make it nice again.
On the plus side the paint is heavy and protected it all these years - I don't see any rust holes etc.

There have been lots of interesting car news stories on Cars UK during 2012, but are the stories themselves a true indicator of how interested you, dear reader, are in the news that’s happening in the car world, or is it how much additional information you seek out on a story that’s the reality of just how much interest there is? Truckers given the green light to drive faster

Thu, 24 Jul 2014

THERE'S good news for car drivers today as the government has officially increased the single-carriageway speed limit for heavy goods vehicles to 50mph. Previously, HGVs were limited to 40mph by law, leaving drivers' tempers to boil over in their cars while stuck in a long line of traffic. AA president Edmund King said: "This seems like a common sense move.
