Audi celebrates 500,000th TT with special edition

Audi is celebrating its 500,000th TT sport compact with a new special edition, based on the upgraded Audi TTS. Only 500 examples of the TTS competition will be built, and will begin rolling off the assembly line in October. Unfortunately Audi will only sell the exclusive cars across the pond.

But that’s no surprise when it comes with a very agreeable 270bhp to play with – enough to push the RCZ R to 62mph in 5.9 seconds – good looks and decent economy. No it’s not a bastardised four-door version of a mid-1990s Hyundai coupé, this is the Infiniti M, a rear-drive executive saloon with its sights set firmly on BMW’s new 5-series. It’s actually the third iteration of the M, but the first to come to Britain. Like other Infinitis it will be strong on value and equipment and features some novel safety systems, including a next-generation blindspot assistant and active noise cancellation.
