Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT S (2007): first official pictures
Tue, 28 Aug 2007By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 28 August 2007 11:10 Super-saloon It is, but Quattroporte sounds better than ‘four-door’ - which is the literal translation - and when the whole thing is said in an Italian accent then there are few more evocative names on the market. Now it seems BMW are also looking to build a car that can take on the very high-end Mercedes S Class – especially the S Class Maybach when that arrives – and maybe scoop up a few sales from lower-end Rolls Royce and Bentley buyers.

But barring some unfortunate-looking Impreza based engineering mules, we've yet to see the Subaru edition. That situation didn't change at the recent 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, where Subaru once again exhibited the rear-drive platform of what we now know will be called the BRZ with a transparent bodyshell rather than production panels.
