ECOVELOCITY PROVES TO BE A HIT

ECOVELOCITY, the UK’s first eco motoring festival held at Battersea Power Station last week, delivered the UK’s largest ever eco test drive event, with almost 7,000 consumer drives of electric, low and ultra low carbon vehicles on the bespoke test track. Visitors and their families fully embraced the ‘hands on’ opportunities the show offered. Over 1,500 visitors participated in the Honda Racing Bug Activity, while Get On - the campaign to encourage more people to ride motorcycles - introduced 350 visitors to the benefits of riding and took numerous bookings for the future.

Last month we reported that the 2012 Lexus RX 450h is on its way – together with an F Sport version – after scans from a JDM Lexus brochure leaked out. Bentley's replacement for the Arnage in 2010 will go upmarket to compete with the Rolls Royce Phantom Bentley has revealed that after Arnage production finally ends in September it will be a full year before the replacement for the Arnage surfaces. Now the sceptics amongst us may put this down to the fact that Bentley are struggling to sell the cars they already make in the current climate, never mind producing an even more luxurious and expensive model. But Bentley say it’s so they can put a clear line under the current Arnage before its replacement arrives late in 2010.
