These ARP High Performance series connecting rod bolts are made from seamless and defect-free 8740 chromoly steel. All ARP rod bolts are heat-treated before grinding and thread rolling and have a large underhead radius for greater strength. Guaranteed to pass magnetic inspection testing, these bolts are nearly five times stronger than OEM bolts. They're used in applications ranging from stock replacement to Circle Track, marine, and drag racing engines. Karmann files for insolvency
Wed, 08 Apr 2009Karmann, the century-old German coachbuilder synonymous with cabrios and the famous 1950s Karmann Ghia, has filed for insolvency. The company made the move Wednesday in Germany in response to a dramatic decline in revenue, an inability to pay for its massive layoff plan and the worldwide economic crisis. The North American operations, which make convertible tops for Detroit car companies and Volkswagen, are not affected, a spokesman said.

Mercedes CLA starts to roll off production line in Hungary

But that’s probably unfair; based as it is on the new A-Class, the CLA is a very good car under the skin, even if its big USP is the dramatic styling. Now, just over a week after the CLA got its first public reveal (if you don’t count the Mercedes Concept Style Coupe on which its based), the first production car has rolled off the line at the Mercedes plant in Kecskemét, Hungary.
