918 a match for Ferrari and McLaren in corners, says Porsche

Had you forgotten about the third contender in the hybrid supercar wars, given the furious competition betwen Ferrari and McLaren? Porsche’s hybrid 918 Spyder is that third competitor, which mates a 4.6-litre normally aspirated V8 to an 84bhp front-drive electric motor and a 127bhp EV motor helping drive the rear tyres. It costs £768,026, and though Porsche won’t quite admit as much, you can still buy one of the 918 being produced - unlike the sold-out LaFerrari.

It's a sign of just how significant the new Sportage is for Kia that rather than flying UK journalists to an international launch location the company instead rented a boutique hotel in London's Notting Hill, created a sketch gallery in the basement and flew in key members of the car's development team to meet the press — who were then lent some the first new Sportage's in the UK to test for a month. Jaguar XF 2.2D 163 PS - less powerful XF launched Jaguar has announced a lower powered version of the new XF 2.2 Diesel with 163PS which goes on sale immediately from £29,950. Jaguar finally came clean on its entry-level XF – the Jaguar XF 2.2 diesel – back in March last year, after speculation and denials about a cheaper XF almost since the XF first arrived. But having bitten the bullet on an entry-level XF, Jaguar has now done it in spades by revealing an entry-entry-level XF – the Jaguar XF 2.2D 163PS.
