Pro series cylinder head studs from ARP are cold-forged to ensure molecular integrity. They are heat-treated prior to thread rolling and machining and are rated at a whopping 220,000 psi. ARP Pro series kits are also available with 12-point nuts, and all kits come complete with hardened parallel washers for an even load distribution and accurate torque readings.

Hyundai Veloster Turbo for the UK gets 186hp The Hyundai Veloster Turbo – due to be revealed at Geneva next week – will get 186hp and 270NM of torque for the UK & Europe. When the Hyundai Veloster was confirmed for the UK and Europe back in November, we did say that it was likely to come with fewer horses but more torque to make it more fun to drive on European roads than the bigger horses and lower torque figures the American version gets. Now we learn that the UK and European Veloster Turbo will come packing 186hp (183bhp) – down from over 200hp in the US version – but with 270NM (199lb/ft) of torque.

Newsflash: VW's Polo has won the European Car of the Year gong, it was announced today in Madrid. It beat 33 contenders, including six other finalists to the top motoring prize in Europe.The Polo narrowly won with 347 points, putting to rights its trophy-free record in Car of the Year. The runner-up was the innovative Toyota iQ, 10 points behind with 337 points.
