These air cleaner assemblies, which are peculiar to the Aston Martin DB2, DB2/4, and MKIII with SU H6 1-3/4" carbs are now being remanufactured. The price may seem high but imagine the cost of tooling up to make these. They are identical to the originals with a few exceptions. The filter element is now a washable K&N type rather than the original screen and cloth type. Also the holes in the metal mesh are larger to allow more air flow. The Vokes badges are another nice touch. The black finish is powder coat. The price is per air cleaner assembly. Please change the quantity if you would like 2. EV car maker Aptera shuts down
Fri, 02 Dec 2011Automotive startup company Aptera Motors, promoter of the weirdly styled, three-wheeled 2e electric car, shut down on Friday, saying it was out of money. The company said it was unable to raise funds from private investors that would have kept it going until it received a $150 million loan from the Department of Energy's Advance Technology Vehicle Manufacturing program. "This is a difficult time for everyone connected with our company because we have never been closer to realizing our vision," CEO Paul Wilbur said in a statement.
