Geneva Show 2014: City Car Trio Get A Makeover
Tue, 04 Mar 2014IT’S all change at Peugeot, Citroen and Toyota as the trio of manufacturers have simultaneously launched new versions of their popular city cars. The 108, C1 and Aygo respectively have been moved upmarket with higher quality cabins and an exterior design revamp. Keen to keep pace with the likes of Volkswagen’s acclaimed up!, all three car makers have decided to boost cabin ambience, kit and quality.
Citroen C1 ev’ie Electric Car launched
Thu, 30 Apr 2009The Citroen C1 ev'ie - the UK's first proper all electric car - launched today Based (obviously) on Citroen’s baby C1, the C1 ev’ie aims to be as car-like as possible, but offering all the economies (and most of the drawbacks!) of an electric car. The donor cars are supplied by Citroen UK and the company claims that 50% of the value of the car is generated in the UK with the conversion to all electric drive. Designed to have a range of 60-70 miles this is a city car, pure and simple.

Wed, 30 Jul 2014Range Rover Sport SVR takes on the Nurburgring – and wins (video) We’re not sure at what point a car actually becomes a ‘production’ car, but that’s a tag Land Rover are putting on the new Range Rover Sport SVR as it takes to the Nurburgring and comes away with a time of 8 minutes 14 seconds – the fastest by a production SUV. Land Rover are keen to tell us the lap by the RRS SVR was in a standard production car, by which we assume a car that’s built to the specification announced for the Sport SVR when it arrives next year. That means the full fat 542bhp from its 5.0 litre V8 and performance that is clearly impressive, although Land Rover still hasn’t given us specific performance figures, and certainly enough - together with suspension tweaks – to make it very impressive on road.
