This damper is a an ATI PN 917082. Fits only SBC Egnines that have a BB Chevy Snout, 1.600", Internally Balanced. Damper Shell and Hub are Steel, 360 deg laser etched timing marks, and SFI Approved.  This damper will work well for Mild engines making under 300 hp and up to 600 hp dragrace engines turning 8000 rpm or less.   Okay for the street or track.  Damper is fairly light at around 9.0 lbs total weight.  Damper is a 6", 2 ring style.  See this damper on ATI's website for more information and fitment.

The Blem in the photos shown are the a swirl marks around the Counter Sunk Holes from chips wrapping on the drill in the machine while was drilling the holes.  Other damper have mismarked timing marks, or plating issues.

These dampers are not used, and never installed.  We will occasionally have a Shell get scratched, or a plating that doesn't look 100% perfect so instead of scraping the parts, or disassembling the dampers we will turn the parts into Blems!  You will not be dissapointed with this damper as we are more particular than most!  So here they are on EBAY - Brand new direct from ATI in Baltimore MD for a LARGE savings.  Get them while they last.

These damper retail for over $300 at many large re-sellers.  Damper will ship from ATI in Baltimore MD

VW BlueSport Concept moves nearer to reality

Mon, 19 Jan 2009

We reported last week on the VW BlueSport Concept, a relatively economical 2 seat roadster, which VW unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show. We said then that if we were VW we’d be pressing the start button as soon as possible, and reports seem to indicate that that is exactly what VW are hoping to do. The secret to the success of the BlueSport will be the ability of the VW Group as a whole to find three platforms within its setup that can produce viable models based on the BlueSport Concept.

Brits would rather drive than walk

Wed, 25 Jun 2014

ALMOST HALF (47%) of all people in the UK would rather drive than walk for a journey of up to one mile and 48% drive to work instead of trying to use any other form of transport. Despite a one mile journey taking very little more time to walk than drive, only 38% of drivers said they would use their feet in place of the car for such short journeys. Even though short journeys cause the most pollution and damage to cars, half said they would still drive.

2012 Nissan Qashqai & Qashqai+2: 1.6 dCi replaces 2.0 dCi

Sat, 03 Sep 2011

2012 Nissan Qashqai 1.6 dCi 2012 - less power, better economy We’ve got used to car makers downsizing engines, managing to improve economy and emissions and yet still improve power and performance. But it doesn’t look like Nissan are going to achieve that with the arrival of the 2012 Qashqai and Qashqai +2. In the name of economy and emissions, Nissan are dropping the 2.0 dCi diesel engine from the Qashqai range and replacing it with a 1.6 litre dCi lump.
