Robbie Maddison, Levi LaValle break records at Red Bull New Year's Eve event: Video

Now that Red Bull has its hooves in all forms of motorsport, it's fitting that for New Year's Eve, it staged a tandem record-setting jump with a motorcycle and a snowmobile. Rider Robbie Maddison and snowmobiler Levi LaValle took to the stage on Dec. 31, 2011, in San Diego to perform the dual jump.

Design Contest: Freightliner 'Pride & Profit'

Freightliner, the iconic American truck manufacturer, is hosting a design contest to create the next generation of its 'Pride & Profit' trucks. Steeped heavily in American history, Freightliner has been the backbone of small and large businesses throughout the country. Taking this into consideration, as well as Freightliner's own visual identity, contestants are asked to present their interpretation of a heavy-duty truck for the year 2030.

Local Motors Announces Texas Competition

New American car company Local Motors has announced the Texas Motors competition, the 19th design contest initiated by the Boston based start-up company. The deadline for submissions is February 10, 2010. The brief, which asks entrants to design a dynamic and capable hunting vehicle for the gamers of the largest US state, stipulates that the vehicle should be a ready-made solution for hunters of every variety, whether hunting stags or fowl.
