Carl-Peter Forster a candidate to lead Jaguar Land Rover
Mon, 25 Jan 2010Jaguar Land Rover is parting company with its chief executive, David Smith, potentially clearing the way for former Opel and BMW boss Carl-Peter Forster to take control. Forster has been linked with a senior role at Jaguar Land Rover for some months. Executives at Indian automaker Tata Motors, which bought the British brands from Ford in 2008, were rumored to have been taking soundings on whether Forster was the right man for job.
ECOVELOCITY PROVES TO BE A HIT

Visitors and their families fully embraced the ‘hands on’ opportunities the show offered. Over 1,500 visitors participated in the Honda Racing Bug Activity, while Get On - the campaign to encourage more people to ride motorcycles - introduced 350 visitors to the benefits of riding and took numerous bookings for the future.
U.S. safety officials deny airbag exemption for the Pagani Huayra
Tue, 09 Aug 2011U.S. safety officials have shot down Italian supercar maker Pagani's request that the Huayra coupe be exempted from needing advanced airbags--a move that means Pagani can't legally sell the car in the States. Safety rules require that all new cars sold in the United States be equipped with airbags that can automatically adjust deployment force based on the height and weight of the seat occupant.
