Fiat 500 Pink – now it’s the 500C convertible
Mon, 15 Mar 2010The Fiat 500C Pink convertible hits the UK - but only 300 of them Fiat have been busy doing what BMW have done with the MINI – and Audi seem intent on doing with the new A1 – namely churning out special editions all over the place to keep punters interested and make sales. Step forward the Fiat 500 Pink, launched by Fiat a few months ago in the UK and limited to just 500 units.
Aston Martin's Launch Edition Cygnets (2011)
Thu, 20 Jan 2011Production of the Aston Martin Cygnet begins in just a few months' time, and the sports car company has announced two special editions to celebrate the launch of its new city car. According to Aston Martin, the Cygnet Launch Edition White and Cygnet Launch Edition Black are being built to ‘exemplify the highly bespoke nature of this unique car.’ Are we alone in spotting the irony of building a run of identical vehicles to highlight the customisable nature of the Cygnet? The Cygnet Launch Edition White is supposed to be about serenity, with Snow White paint, white diamond-turned alloy wheels, and white Aston badges on the outside, and white leather on the inside.
Saturn has interested buyers, GM says
Fri, 06 Mar 2009Saturn is attracting interest from a "few" parties that might want to acquire the brand, a General Motors spokesman said Thursday. GM has hired Steve Girsky, formerly senior auto analyst for Morgan Stanley, to help advise on any possible Saturn deals. Saturn spokesman Steve Janisse said, "There is interest from investors in doing a spinoff, and there are other entities interested in just buying it." He said he does not know whether the interested parties are other automakers.
