Thu, 27 Sep 2012The 2013 Range Rover has been given its public debut at the 2012 Paris Motor Show and takes centre stage on the Land Rover stand. We know, for example, that the new Range Rover weighs as much as 420kg less than the current model, that it comes with a choice not just of a 4.4 litre V8 diesel and 5.0 litre supercharged 5.0 litre V8 – as in the current model – but also get a new 3.0 litre diesel option. Which, thanks to all that weight loss, is as quick – and far more economical - than the 4.4 V8 diesel was in the current model.
60mph M1 motorway speed limit proposed
Mon, 06 Jan 2014The government has announced a proposal to lower the motorway speed limit from 70mph to 60mph over a 32-mile stretch of the M1. The plan, which has just been put out to consultation, would lower the speed limit to 60mph between junction 28, near Matlock in Derbyshire, to junction 35a, north of Rotherham – in a bid to improve air quality by reducing vehicle emissions. Wed, 04 Jan 2012The Lexus LF-LC concept – a four-seat coupe that will make its debut at the NAIAS in Detroit – has been further unveiled in these latest shots. Designed in Toyota's Catly studio in Newport Beach, California, the show car appears to develop Lexus' L-Finesse design language, while retaining familiar features such as the huge grille first seen on the LF-Gh concept and subsequent GS sedan production car. The upward flick of the windowline into the C-pillar is also reminiscent of the flagship LFA.
