BMW has released new images and a lengthy press release detailing the design process for the new 7 Series sedan, set to be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in October. We'll spare you the hyperbole here, but stay tuned for a Design Review of the Munich-based automaker's new range topping vehicle once we've seen the car in the metal in Paris. What makes this MPV design study so curious is the fact it’s essentially a top-spec version of a car that isn’t even on sale yet. Here’s the back story, Ford showed an S-Max ‘design study’ at the Frankfurt motor show in September 2013, which previewed the second-gen S-Max CAR spied testing earlier this year.

CDN-Opel/Vauxhall enters second phase

Car Design News and Opel/Vauxhall are pleased to announce that the second phase of its collaborative competition is now underway. The second phase of the CDN-Opel/Vauxhall competition is specifically for the seven shortlisted students from the first phase. All competition members are encouraged to comment and offer advice to the shortlisted students as they strive to make the final cut.
