Audi A6 A4 S6 S4 Steering Wheel Airbag & Tiptronic CLOCKSPRING ONLY 1998-2004

This item was removed from a 2000 Audi S4.  This auction is for the CLOCKSPRING and CONNNECTOR ONLY, I have the steering wheel and airbag for sale in a separate auction.  Note that the yellow dot in the upper right viewing window shows that the clockspring is in the correct position for installation.

Great upgrade for your non-tiptronic steering wheel.  Tiptronic buttons on the steering wheel allow you to manually change gears via the steering as well as the gear shift.  Buttons light up red at night when tiptronic manual is selected.  Per the "how to" instructions below you can also wire the buttons to stay lit up all the time.

If you are upgrading from a non-tiptronic wheel, this is a simple and easy upgrade, simply follow the instructions here:

http://www.audiworld.com/tech/int38.shtml

To complete the upgrade you'll need the tiptronic steering wheel and airbag that I have listed in a separate auction.

Audi part numbers included in this sale:

  • Clockspring:  1J0 959 654C
  • Connector:  4B0 973 605 ( with 6 inches of wire for splicing)

Payment via paypal is due within 3 days of auction close.  Shipping is a flat rate of $12 to continental USA only.  Items are sold "as is", no refunds, exchanges, or returns.

Toyota starts 'rubbish revolution'

Wed, 02 Apr 2014

TOYOTA has been talking garbage, with ambitious plans to turn waste gases from a landfill site into electricity for building low-emissions cars. The firm’s factory in the American town of Georgetown, Kentucky, will use the new method of harvesting power to both lower its own fuel bills and reduce the amount of harmful gases escaping into the atmosphere. With the system expected to be up and running within 12 months, Toyota has revealed how it is expected to work.

Geneva 2011 - Best in Show

Fri, 04 Mar 2011

Unlike Detroit, which generated a lot of hype for what turned out to be not as much new product as we'd hoped, the Geneva show was a true return to form, with all new vehicles occupying various different market segments making their debuts. But Geneva wouldn't be complete without the seemingly never-ending stream of concept cars filling the halls of the Palexpo. Every year the Swiss show's neutrality is the perfect breeding ground for the French, Italian and German automakers to strut their future visions for mobility about.

Toyota powering its US headquarters with Hydrogen Fuel Cell

Fri, 02 May 2014

Toyota’s Hydrogen Fuel Cell power supply at their US HQ It’s been a pipe dream for a long time; harness the planet’s plentiful supplies of hydrogen to produce power. That’s getting a lot closer with a number of hydrogen fuel cell cars coming to the real car market in the next few years, and no doubt as part of their mission to convince the world that hydrogen is the future, Toyota are demonstrating the potential by using a hydrogen fuel cell to produce power at their US HQ. Toyota has installed a 1.1 megawatt stationary fuel cell at its Los Angeles HQ which is capable of producing half its power needs during the heavy-load summer period.
