Driven: Mercedes-Benz C-Class
Wed, 11 Jun 2008Just over 25 years ago, in November 1982, Mercedes Chief Designer Bruno Sacco introduced his new 'baby' 190, codenamed W201. Billed as the new compact Mercedes, it was a successful model that lasted a full ten years until being replaced by the first C-Class (W202). This model – the first with the triangular tail lamps – lasted until 2000 when it was replaced by the W203, a more softly-styled update of the W202 model, with the 'peanut-shaped' linked double headlamps.

The Mini One Clubman comes with the same 1.4 litre engine as the Mini One, producing 95bhp and boasting the same suspension set-up as the Mini Coopers, which at least means the new Clubman One should be fun to throw around. Mini One Clubman to launch at Geneva in March The Clubman gets a pretty decent set of eco-credentials, offering Brake Energy Regeneration, Auto Stop Start and Shift Point Display as standard.
Persuaders Aston for sale
Thu, 20 Mar 2014THE ASTON MARTIN used by Roger Moore in the 1970s television series The Persuaders is up for sale and expected to fetch £500,000. Finished in rare Bahama Yellow, the 1970 DBS was built specifically for use in the popular detective series. However, Aston Martin had yet to launch its DBS V8 model, so it took a standard DBS with the smaller six-cylinder engine and made it look identical to the newer and more powerful V8 from the outside.
