Details and pictures of the new Lexus IS saloon have been revealed ahead of the car's full debut next week in Detroit. Previewed back in September at the Paris motor show with the LF-CC concept, the IS features the carmaker's signature spindle grille and L-shaped Daytime Running Lights (DRL). The IS also retains the prominent character line that rises from the lower body into the rear lamp clusters and also features another that runs underneath the windows.

The 2013 GMC Terrain Denali five-passenger SUV will have a base price of $35,350, including shipping charges. The 2013 Terrain is the latest GMC offering to get the luxury Denali trim, joining the Acadia Denali, the Sierra Denali pickup and the Yukon Denali. Pricing for the 2013 full model lineup hasn't been made available, but the 2012 Terrain ranges from a base price of $26,385 up to $32,085 for the top SLT-2 trim level.

Low-level lights for cyclists get approval

NEW TRAFFIC LIGHTS designed specifically for cyclists have been approved by the Government, following a successful trial. The low-level lights repeat the signals displayed by the normal traffic lights, and the results of the trial were that 80% of cyclists favoured their use. Following the approval Transport for London can now install the lights at Bow Roundabout – the first time the lights have been used in the UK.
