As well as an inside look into the development of the 1964 Mustang, retro-futurists are treated to a look at the then space-age creations including the particularly awesome Aurora station wagon with its three-seat corner sofa, electro-luminous side panels and primitive satellite navigation.

With the MkIII Laguna launched last year, the timing would be perfect for the debut of a flagship model on the home turf of the Paris motor show in October 2008. FORGET supercars burning rubber around a circuit – a track-day organiser is now offering off-road driving experiences on Segways. Volunteers can take to a specially-designed rally course on one of the self-balancing upright scooters, after being given some basic instruction in how not to fall off.
