First Sight: Mercedes-Benz A-Class
Fri, 25 Jun 2004The first generation A-Class was the first front wheel drive passenger car from Mercedes-Benz and its first compact hatchback. Its revolutionary packaging and infamous encounter with an elk made a big impact in 1997, and since then over a million have been sold. Specification The new A-Class maintains its predecessor's innovative sandwich floor concept, where the powertrain moves under the passenger cell in the event of a big frontal impact and thus enables a longer cabin for the length of footprint.
2014 Lexus CT 200h: Guangzhou Motor Show
Thu, 21 Nov 2013The new 2014 Lexus CT 200h (pictured) has debuted in China It’s three years since Lexus delivered their compact hybrid CT 200h and, as we revealed last week, a new CT 200h for 2014 is on the way. Top of those changes is improvements in the way the CT 200h rides; our biggest criticism of the CT 200h was that it had the harsh ride of a sporty car but without the power to exploit the setup.
Ferrari celebrates 8 million Facebook Fans with a 458 burnout
Thu, 03 May 2012Ferrari Facebook 8 Million Video More celebrations by car makers hitting social media milestones, this time Ferrari celebrates 8 million Facebook fans with a 458 burnout. We do wonder how long the latest car maker PR stunt of celebrating social media milestones will continue, but if it gets coverage – like this – the answer is probably that it won’t stop – ever. Yesterday we had AMG celebrating a rather small 2 million YouTube views with a blat in a C 63 AMG Coupe round Laguna Seca, and today we get treated to a Ferrari 458 Italia strutting its stuff to celebrate a far more significant 8 million Facebook Fans (or should that now be Facebook ‘Likes’?).
