Designer Camilo Pardo stages 'Fuel Injection' art show in Michigan
Fri, 10 Jun 2011Automotive designer Camilo Pardo's greatest work of art may have been the Ford GT, but those interested in seeing his work in mediums other than sheetmetal can attend his solo exhibition, titled "Fuel Injection," premiering this weekend at the 323 East gallery in Royal Oak, Mich. Running from June 11 to July 2, Pardo's show will include silk-screened images on repurposed materials such as wooden doors and aluminum signs, and it will revisit his favorite subjects--cars and women. The exhibit recalls the pop art of Andy Warhol's era, Pardo says.
GM's next eco-concept car

The concept will feature radical styling, with a diesel engine acting as a generator for the concept’s electric motor. And General Motors is believed to be collaborating with urban electric scooter manufacturer Segway; the unnamed concept may be able to carry one or more of the £4000, gyroscope-controlled devices for use in town once you’ve parked.
Volteis teases Philippe Starck-designed electric car
Tue, 21 Feb 2012Electric vehicle manufacturer Volteis has released a teaser of its latest car set to debut at the Geneva motor show, designed by Philippe Starck It has been confirmed that Starck, better known for his product and furniture design, would unveil the ‘V+ by Starck' at the show's Green Pavilion. The teaser indicates that the V+ will retain the basic shape of Volteis' X2 and X4 models, which have a range of 60 kilometers. Starck said, "I wanted to offer an alternative.
