Austin Healey 3000 Bt-7 Dual Gauge Temperature Smiths Reconditioned on 2040-parts.com

Offered for your consideration is an ORIGINAL, Smiths, Gold Faced, Dual Gauge, correct for all early Austin Healey 3000's from 1959 BT-7's through the 1963 BJ-7's. It can also be fitted to the 100/6 cars though technically not correct as the end fitting is different and requires an adaptor collar which I can supply. This gauge is specific to the Austin Healey, it is not a generic dual gauge as commonly offered. Smiths part # GD 1502/05.
This instrument has been fully reconditioned and will look & function as a new, original unit would be expected to. All internals have been overhauled, prior to it being recalibrated.

PLEASE NOTE!!!: This auction is predicated upon my receiving a CORRECT and COMPLETE rebuildable core in exchange. Missing or broken capillary tube and end fitting are of no concern as a completely new tubing assembly is fitted as a matter of course during the rebuild process. Guage face and lettering must be in good condition. A nominal fee will apply for damaged/missing chrome bezel & glass. If you do not have a core or are unsure as to the suitability of your existing unit, due to condition or application, please contact me for clarification prior to bidding.

BMW designer Chapman joins Hyundai Motor America

VW had a bash at their own Dune Buggy back in 2000, but now, ahead of a reveal at the Detroit Auto Show next week, we have what looks like a buggy from VW that could actually be heading for production – the Volkswagen Beetle Dune Concept. VW has revealed a single image of their Beetle Dune Concept (above) that shows a jacked-up Beetle with big wheels and tyres, a ski rack on the back and a bit of cosmetic titivation.

Sat, 20 Feb 2010We have official video of the Aston Martin Rapide from Valencia Back at the start of February Aston Martin flew the world’s media to Valencia to party with the new Aston Martin Rapide. Even though Cars UK didn’t get an invite we decided to shove up a review of the Rapide covering what we knew from all the bumph Aston Martin had sent us and the opinions we’d formed from seeing the car. It wasn’t sour grapes – although it would have been nice to be asked – but looking at the reviews written by those who went on the ‘Jolly’ we were pretty much on the money.
