Austin Healey Ah 100-6 Bt-7 Bj8/3000 Walnut Gear Shift Knob New Made In The Usa on 2040-parts.com
MIDWEST, United States
High quality walnut gear shift knob for Austin Healey 100-6, BT-7, or BJ8/3000 stock gear shift levers that have 3/8 – 16 threads. Nicely sized at 2 ½ inches high and 2 inches in diameter. This produces a classic bulb shape and thicker more comfortable feel compared to the almost straight profile of the commonly offered shift knob.
High gloss finish over natural unstained walnut wood. This particular knob accentuates the beauty of walnut. It displays varying natural walnut shades of medium to dark brown with plenty of highlighted grain. Since each real wood shift knob is unique all pictures shown are of the actual knob that you will receive. The side photos were each taken at 1/4 turn of the knob. Of course photographing high gloss items is difficult. As expected the knob will appear lighter or darker in person vs the photos as well as indoor vs outdoor.
Domed Austin Healey logo emblem is recessed into the top of the knob.
Machinist made solid aluminum threaded insert base. Not one of those soft plastic or nylon self threading plugs found on many knob offerings.
The threaded aluminum insert is set to extend app. 1/8 inch below the base of the knob. This is done to help protect the knob base when snugging up your shift lever jamb nut to lock the knob into position. The 3/8 - 16 knob threads are correct to factory specifications. However over the many years transmissions and levers may have been changed or altered. Please check your shift lever threads prior to ordering.
Made in the USA by skilled American craftsmen.
We are proud to be able to offer a quality natural wood American made shift knob at a price not much more than the slender Asian knobs with plastic threads.
We accept PayPal.

Official: Renault & Caterham to build Alpine sports cars
Mon, 05 Nov 2012Renault has confirmed it is to partner with Caterham to build a range of Alpine sports cars in Dieppe from 2015. The partnership between Renault and Caterham is a logical extension of their F1 partnership but now, with the joint venture to produce their own sports cars, goes much deeper than the almost badge-engineering Williams Renaults. A new company - Société des Automobiles Alpine Caterham – will be jointly owned by Caterham and Renault and will develop models in small and large volumes to be marketed as both Renault Alpine and Caterham, and will be built in Renault’s Dieppe factory that currently churns out Renaultsport models for the road and track, and is the historical home of Alpine.

Watch Kimi Raikkonen’s lawnmower race before British Grand Prix
Wed, 09 Jul 2014By Adam Binnie Motoring Issues 09 July 2014 11:27 Former F1 world champion Kimi Raikkonen revealed an unusual pre-race warm-up ahead of the 2014 British Grand Prix, by haring around a grass track on a racing lawnmower. Drivers are usually encouraged to keep their cars off the grass but as this video shows, the 2007 F1 champ is clearly able to transfer his skill from the tarmac track to the lawn. Kimi raced against former F1 drivers Martin Brundle, Johnny Herbert and also Anthony Davidson around the grass track in a publicity stunt.
