CDN-GM/PATAC Interactive Design Contest 2013 launched
Tue, 16 Oct 2012After the overwhelming success of its European and North American interactive design competitions, GM and Car Design News are excited to announce the launch of their first competition exclusively for the Chinese market, the CDN–GM/PATAC Interactive Design Competition China. According to Bryan Nesbitt, Vice President of Design at GM International Operations, "We are excited about the potential regarding a China-dedicated competition. Design is the initial product differentiator in the automotive retail space, so demand for top design talent will continue." Wheeler was in charge of TVR during some of the company’s finest modern years, launching lightweight and powerful rear-wheel drive Blackpool-built sports car including the Chimaera and Griffith, and the Cerbera, Tuscan, Tamora and Sagaris with TVR's own engine. Wheeler passed away during the night on Thursday 11 June after a short illness.
Eagle builds a new E-type speedster
Mon, 27 Jul 2009By Alex Michaelides First Official Pictures 27 July 2009 17:07 Jaguar E-type specialist Eagle has unveiled the Eagle E-type speedster at the Salon Privé prestige motor show in London. The speedster, commissioned by enthusiast Dr Rick Velaj, uses a standard 1966 E-type as its base. Eagle then rebuilt it to a new sky-high specification, clad it in a one-off aluminium bodyshell, fitted it with its Supersport options (stiffer suspension, uprated brakes and modern tyres) and strapped in its own highly developed 4.7-litre straight six.
